The Inquirer and Daily News recently announced they will be uprooting the newsrooms that have lived at 400 N. Broad Street since the building was erected in 1925  in order to transplant the operation to the former Strawbridge & Clothier store at 8th and Market streets. Developer Bart Blatstein, who is also responsible for the renaissance at the Piazza at Schmidt’s in Northern Liberties, plans to convert the 18-story beauty of a building into offices, retail and housing space according to this article.
