Gettin’ weird on ‘em at my bud Tom McGuigan’s fancy pants office. Pretty sure this is also the night we ate frog legs.
One thing that has always struck me about living in the city is the way music pinballs off concrete, reaching non-expectant ears. The sound carries, transcending the clutter and there’s a moment of stillness otherwise lost to routine.
Drag night at Bob and Barbara’s is that special time of the week where fine Philly folk converge on my favorite PBR bar for fabulousness and $3.50 city wides. 11.9.12
I played photo roulette on my hard drive today.
Meaning I aimlessly selected a folder, without looking at its name, determined to post whatever I found.

I had the fortune of spending all of five minutes with the beautiful Doris as she waited for a bus to collect and deposit her at a consignment shop. In the Monday drizzle, the two of us chatted about her once family, which places to visit in the south of Spain, and how I should find a man and really love him.
Photography is just like that. Or my experience of it at least. Five profound minutes of immersion into someone else’s experience and then she’s off in another direction, and so am I.
How lucky I am to be entrusted with peoples’ stories, their memories. So I go, always with a camera as a reason to inquire about whatever it is I wonder at that given moment.
